1. Definition/परिभाषा:- जब वाक्य के शुरू में यह, वह, ये/ये सब और वे/वे सब हो, तब This, That, These और Those का प्रयोग होता है।

This/These से निकटता और That/Those से दुरी का बोध होता है। This/That के साथ Singular Noun(एकवचन संज्ञा) तथा Singular Verb(एकवचन क्रिया) का प्रयोग होता है। These/Those के साथ Plural Noun(बहुवचन संज्ञा) तथा Plural Verb(बहुवचन क्रिया) का प्रयोग होता है।

साथ-ही-साथ यह भी याद रखें कि This, That, These और Those Demonstrative Pronoun(प्रदर्शनात्मक सर्वनाम)/Adjective(विशेषण) कहलाते हैं।

2. Affirmative Sentence of This, That, These and Those/यह, वह, ये और वे का सकारात्मक वाक्य:- जब वाक्य के शुरू में यह, वह, ये/ये सब और वे/वे सब हो, तब This, That, These और Those का प्रयोग होता है। जैसे-

• Subject + is/are + complement.
• Subject + is/are + a/an + complement.

Complement का अर्थ ‘पूरक’ होता है। आप Complement के स्थान पर adjective/ noun लिखें। जैसे- sad(दुखी), book(किताब), house(घर), Taj Mahal(ताज महल), play(खेलना), etc. ये सभी Complement(पूरक) हैं।

Note/ध्यान दें:- आप ध्यान दे की कहा Singular Complement(एकवचन पूरक) का प्रयोग हुआ है और कहा Plural Complement(बहुवचन पूरक) का प्रयोग हुआ है। साथ-ही-साथ यह भी याद रखें कि Singular Complement(एकवचन पूरक) के पहले a/an का प्रयोग होता है, जो आवश्यक है। अतः आप ऐसा न लिखें-

• This is boy.       (Wrong/गलत)
• This is a boy.     (Right/सही)

साथ-ही-साथ यह भी याद रखें की Material Noun(द्रव्यवाचक संज्ञा) के पहले ‘The’ का प्रयोग नही होता है।

1. यह रहीम है।-This is Rahim.
2. वह सोना है।-That is gold.
3. वह चावल है।-That is rice.

Use of a/an का प्रयोग

1. यह एक सरक है।-This is a road.
2. यह एक बैल है।-This is an ox.
3. यह अंडा है।-This is an egg.
4. वह एक हाथी है।-That is an elephant.

Use of s/es का प्रयोग

1. ये लार्कियाँ हैं।-These are girls.
2. वे लरके सुन्दर हैं।-Those boys are handsome.
3. वे लरके चोर हैं।-Those boys are thieves.

3. Negative Sentence of This, That, These and Those/यह, वह, ये और वे का नकारात्मक वाक्य:- ऐसे वाक्यों का अनुवाद करना बहुत ही आसन है। बस आप is/are के बाद not लगा दें। जैसे-

• Subject + is/are + not +complement.
• Subject + is/are + not + a/an + complement.

1. यह आम नहीं है।-This is not mango.
2. यह मक्खन नहीं है।-This is not butter.
3. वह लरका बुरा नहीं है।-That boy is not bad.

Use of a/an का प्रयोग

1. यह एक घोरा नहीं है।-This is not a horse.
2. वह एक अभियंता नहीं है।-That is not an engineer.
3. वह एक उल्लू नहीं है।-That is not an owl.

Use of s/es का प्रयोग

1. ये किताबें नहीं हैं।-These are not books.
2. वे लरके मेरे दोस्त नहीं हैं।-Those boys are not my friends.
3. ये नदियाँ सुखी नहीं हैं।-These rivers are not dry.
4. वे छात्र डॉक्टर नहीं हैं।-Those students are not doctors.

4. Interrogative Sentence of This, That, These and Those/यह, वह, ये और वे का प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य:- ऐसे वाक्य जो ‘क्या’ से शुरु हो, उनका अनुवाद Subject के अनुसार is/are से शुरु करें। जैसे-

• Is/are + subject + complement?
• Is/are + subject + a/an + complement?

1. क्या यह गधा है?-Is this ass?
2. क्या वह अंधा है?-Is that blind?
3. क्या वह उपयोगी है?-Is that useful?
4. क्या यह शहर सुन्दर है?-Is this town beautiful?

Use of a/an का प्रयोग

1. क्या यह एक पेङ है?-Is this a tree?
2. क्या वह एक छात्र है?-Is that a student?
3. क्या वह एक छाता है?-Is that an umbrella?

Use of s/es का प्रयोग

1. क्या ये नदियाँ सुखी हैं?-Are these rivers dry?
2. क्या ये बच्चे बेसहारा हैं?-Are these children helpless?
3. क्या ये चोर तुम्हारे भाई हैं?-Are these thieves your brothers?
4. क्या वे डॉक्टर हैं?-Are those doctors?

5. Negative Interrogative Sentence of This, That, These and Those/यह, वह, ये और वे का नकारात्मक प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य:- ऐसे वाक्य जो ‘क्या’ से शुरु हो, परन्तु नकारात्मक(Negative) वाक्य हो तो Subject के बाद not लगा दें। जैसे-

• Is/are + subject + not + complement?
• Is/are + subject + not + a/an + complement?

1. क्या यह पागल नहीं है?-Is this not mad?
2. क्या वह बीमार नहीं है?-Is that not ill?
3. क्या यह तेल नहीं है?-Is this not oil?

Use of a/an का प्रयोग

1. क्या वह एक कलम नहीं है?-Is that not a pen?
2. क्या यह एक पुरानी किताब नही है?-Is this not an old book?
3. क्या यह एक हाथी नहीं है?-Is this not an elephant?

Use of s/es का प्रयोग

1. क्या ये छात्र स्वस्थ नहीं हैं?-Are these students not healthy?
2. क्या ये लर्कियाँ नर्तकी नहीं हैं?-Are these girls not dancers?
3. क्या वे शिक्छ्कगन नेता नहीं हैं?-Are those teachers not leaders?

6. Use of Why, Where and How in Sentences of This, That, These and Those/यह, वह, ये और वे के वाक्यों में क्यों, कहाँ और कैसे का प्रयोग:- जब वाक्य में Why(क्यों) या Where(कहाँ) या How(कैसे) प्रयुक्त रहता है, तब वाक्य की बनावट इस प्रकार हो जाती है। जैसे-

For Affirmative Sentences/सकारात्मक वाक्यों के लिए:-

• Why/Where/how + is/are + subject + complement?
• Why/Where/how + is/are + subject + a/an + complement?

For Negative Sentences/नकारात्मक वाक्यों के लिए:-

• Why/Where/how + is/are + subject + not + complement?
• Why/Where/how + is/are + subject + not + a/an + complement?

Affirmative Sentence/सकारात्मक वाक्य

1. यह लरका क्यों बीमार है?-Why is this boy ill?
2. वह आदमी क्यों मरणशील है?-Why is that man mortal?
3. ये बच्चे कैसे नटखट हैं?-How are these children naughty?
4. वे नदियाँ क्यों सुखी हैं?-Why are those rivers dry?
5. वे बच्चे कहाँ हैं?-Where are those children?

Negative Sentence/नकारात्मक वाक्य

1. यह लरकी कैसे सुन्दर नहीं है?-How is this girl not beautiful?
2. यह पेङ कैसे हरा नहीं है?-How is this tree not green?
3. वे चोर क्यों तेज नहीं हैं?-Why are those thieves not intelligent?
4. वे गायें कहाँ हैं?-Where are those cows?
